The problem
Appliance data is fragmented. Model numbers live in CRMs, serial numbers live on nameplates, specs live in manufacturer PDFs, and images live on scattered product pages. If you build software that touches appliances — repair dispatch, home inspections, property management, warranty claims — you spend significant engineering time piecing this data together manually.
Scraping is unreliable. Manufacturer APIs are inconsistent or nonexistent. There is no single source of structured, verified appliance data.
Our approach
ApplianceAPI is a REST API that returns structured appliance data by model number. Send a model or serial number, get back verified photos, specs, dimensions, manuals, recall status, and manufacture date estimates — all in a clean JSON response.
We cross-reference multiple sources, apply confidence scoring, queue missing models for enrichment, and deliver human-reviewed records built for production use. Coverage spans 50+ major brands and 10,000+ indexed models, growing continuously.
