Appliance Age Decoder

Enter your serial number to find out when your appliance was manufactured. Supports Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, GE, Samsung, LG, Frigidaire, and more.

Usually found on a sticker inside the door, drawer, or on the back of the appliance.

How does this work?

Manufacturers encode the production date directly in the serial number using letter and number patterns. Each brand uses a different format — we decode the pattern to extract the most likely manufacture month and year.

Because year codes typically cycle every 10–30 years, we show all possible dates. The model number (if provided) helps narrow it down. For appliances manufactured after 2000, we give you the most likely modern date first.
