This feature is on our roadmap Coming at launch — Spring 2026. Get early access to be notified.

How it works

  1. Your system sends brand, model, and serial number (or estimated age)
  2. ApplianceAPI decodes the serial to determine manufacture date
  3. Appliance type average lifespan data is applied (e.g., dishwashers ~10 years)
  4. Returns lifecycle stage estimate with confidence and remaining useful life range

Why it matters

  • Repair companies help customers make informed repair-vs-replace decisions
  • Warranty companies evaluate coverage cost-benefit based on lifecycle stage
  • Property managers plan replacement budgets across appliance portfolios
